I am installing a Ramps 1.4 for my 3d printer. The endstops that I have only have 2 pins while the Ramps 1.4 endstops have 3 pins. Are my 2 pin endstops compatible or will it fry the circuit board.

2 pins switch type endstops are fine. They need to be connected to the SIG and GND pins, DO NOT CONNECT TO +5 and GND that will smoke the voltage regulator on the mega.

You also need to make sure the pull up resistor is enabled in firmware.

This is why you have to enable it in firmware, its not external to the chip.
