smart lcd reprap not displaying

hello everyone, i made the electronics connection , but after using martin software the lcd lights up but i can't see anything but the blue screen. any ideas?

Some of mine has a potentiometer on the back to adjust the brightness and some don't.



When I got my New LCD the Connector keys were backwards I had to plug in in with the key on the Opposite site.

Original Board - right angle connector key matches.



New Board - different straight Connector Key on Opposite side



Plug in with key don't work, 180 degree Turn works. Made new cable with connector turned opposite side.
Could be done with software. I know more about hardware so took this approach.



Acted just like yours is acting now.
Being plugged in backwards did not seem to hurt the displays still using them.

if above post doesn't work then the display needs to be set correctly in firmware. probably the best solution is to:
1) show the side of your lcd that wires up so pin out can be checked
2) copy your config file and post it here. there are many experts in the community.
