Printer doing wierd stuff midprint
October 08, 2017 09:03AM
Hey there,

My printer (FLsun Cube) does wierd stuff during prints since yesterday:
It often just stops printing, moves away from the print to a random location and does nothing. One time the bed moved all the way down and the motors kept turning and turning. Another time it crashed the print into the nozzle without any reason. Everything happened after starting a printjob from SD card sometime at the middle of the print.
I sliced with S3D (same .stl that used to work). Only thing I changed was changing the filament feed and therefore inverting the E0 axis in the firmware (not the first time I worked with the firmware).

What could cause this problem I am experiencing now?
Could it be just a defective sd card?

Thanks for helping

Yes I loaded the part into S3D and sliced it again and loaded it on the sd card and left the sd card in for a minute to make sure I did not pull it out too quick

I have had problems with random moves as well

[forums.reprap.org]

I enclosed the stepper motor wires into a separate bundle the the controller wires.
And shielded the Controller to prevent the stepper motor noise.

This may or may not be your problem watch this video while I duplicate the my problem. (Video was created in July, Have redesigned case snap open/close for faster access)
[youtu.be]

Errors listed fast forward to see just the errors.
Recorded 4 errors with a short 10 minute video in my 1st attempt
1st // 1:57 second when the LCD Displays garbage.
2nd // 4 minutes 20 seconds the filament is ejected in middle of print.
3rd // 5 minutes 30 seconds when the Nozzle moves to the X-Axis end-stop and returns to continued Printing as if nothing happened.
4th // 9 minutes 13 second Filament is ejected again and I stopped the video.
