If you're replacing bed plates with MIC6,
you might find this useful. It shows how I converted a glass bed (broken!) on a Taz to MIC6 and mounted it on 3 leveling screws instead of 4.
If you really want to hog-wild,
here's the bed design in UMMD, my latest printer. It uses a kinematic mount that allows the bed to expand without creating any bending forces.
I like PEI for the print surface- 30 mils (about 0.7 mm) is enough for it to be almost indestructible.
