Display 12864 didn't working MKS GEN V1.4

Hi,

I recently upgrade my printer (wanhao duplicator 5s mini) with the MKS GEN V1.4 flashed with marlin firmware.

I bought the 12864 LCD display but it doesn't working when i power on the machine.... what's the possible issues???

you enabled it in firmware?

I don't have a Gen 1.4, but I do have a Gen L, and on the Gen L the LCD connectors are backwords. I took a knife and cut off the plastic guide on the ribbon cables and turned them 180 degrees and that fixed the issue.

If I might resurrect this old thread...

I've been able to orient the cables correctly to get backlight, but no display.
