extruder motor is not revolving

Hi guys, I am working on a 3d printer and the motor I am using is NEMA 23 which are recovered from my old machine. Every motor works fine, but the extruder motor is NEMA 17 having the same current value. But when I give extrude command it only vibrates, but if I plug NEMA 23 in same port there will be no issue. If I plug that NEMA 17 motor in other pins like x,y,z it didn't move either. The motor is absolutely correct and moves when I run it in separate command in separate Arduino. I am struggling for around six days but nothing helped. Is there anyone who told me the answer. I am using ramps 1.4 with a marlin.

He said it works when driving it from arduino so it sounds that it's most likely too fast steps or not high enough current to push through?
