Shadowpatterns on the wall via lampshade

Hi,

i really like the idea of a lampshade throwing a pattern on the wall like this
and i had some ideas with lithopanes.
However having a normal round bulb in a normal light location in the middle of the room would distort any projection heavily.

I could sketch a simple pattern out in CAD and connect simulated light rays to a bulb but that get complicated quickly.

I wonder if there a smarter way of getting there?

... combination of an "egg-bot" with a laser-engraver could be interesting for this sort of lamp-shades ...

If you look for stereographic projections, you might get some ideas: e.g. [www.thingiverse.com] [www.thingiverse.com]

Here's my collection of stereographic designs on Thingiverse: [www.thingiverse.com]
