A 3d-model worth the challenge of FDM printers

A 3d-model worth the challenge of FDM printers

I published this product not long ago.

The original plan was to let enthusiasts use a light-curing printer to make it to get a better touch.

But most light-curing materials are not environmentally friendly and tough.

Now I hope you all use FDM printers to challenge it.

I am an experienced mechanical engineer. If you want to improve the existing FDM structure, I think I can satisfy you. #Contact me using XMPP

People can talk about all the things of the well-known brands,

However, any new things that appear will be defined as advertisements by mysterious forces.

I think this is a consciousness bug.

The purpose of any advertisement is to sell, I never sell anything

I also deliberately hide the logo and other signs.

Please do not abuse advertising attacks

Useless replies are real spam.

FDM printing generally uses 2d-stacking algorithm, which is very limited.

You can try it, the current FDM cannot print this model perfectly.

I think FDM should probably consider 3d-stacking algorithm.

If reprap or others are interested in 3D stacking algorithm, I can provide help design. Whether it is entry level or industrial level.

So you come to our FDM forums just to poo poo all over them.....

This is really not a good start.

I just hope FDM can print it perfectly.

I think if this 3d-model is a banana, it won't make you attack.

If this 3d-model causes discomfort to some people, I am very sorry.

If the administrator doesn’t like me either, then please delete the post and me.

Everyone here is over the age of 6 and not interested in playing childish games.

How about this: you fabricate the object by your special secret means and on a "standard" FDM printer to clearly demonstrate how your method is better. If you demonstrate that it's actually better, there will be many people interested in your super special secret technique and your rock star dreams will come true.

but that githhub page looks like it was written by someone who understands english, surely buying an ergo keyboard would be cheaper and probably look much better.

Yeah I agree, it's weird they do not even make an effort to write a good opening post here.

If you turn your keyboard 90° and print all caps as individual parts, they will be printed perfectly. I don't understand what you want to be made better. Can you please explain more details?

I used FDM to print models before 2015, I think I understand FDM very well.

It's 2020, and I don't know how much FDM has improved over the past.

I cannot buy FDM from many different manufacturers for printing test.

So posting here is correct in my opinion.

Because this 3D model is not as well known to everyone as bananas, Think this is an advertisement, this is a consciousness bug

I would recommend FDM with better printing effect to fans, I also don't think my recommendation is an advertisement.

In short I don’t think FDM can print usable models. If your FDM can print available, I would recommend it to people.

... "usable models" depends on aimed use or technology -- FDM has entered the industrial/commercial world long ago ... but in the consumer market, with the "cheapish" behaviour, it's a bit more difficult to find the optimal system smoking smiley

It depends what you want. I designed and printed a machine with which I create artworks that sell. Either think outside your box, or not. Your keyboard is only one object.

Instead of printing the keyboard, you can also consider printing the mold of the keyboard with a FDM 3D printer and use a production method like injection molding.

You ask for improvements since 2015. I think some points are
- many new filament materials, like compound ones
- from 8 to 32 bit processors, so complex kinematics like Delta are better supported. This means better curve printing e.g.
- multimaterial and multicolor support, but this is a field still evolving and not matured IMHO, but if you want to be ahead...

If you interested in the quality, you should also investigate which finishing possibilities you have. A good overview is at [support.stratasys.com] which recommends Stratasys products of course, but if you abstract from this, they provide a good overview.

I print usable models using my FDM printer almost daily.

In general, once a user has some experience with FDM printing and understand its limitations, and the limitations of their specific printer, they can start to tailor designs to work better with FDM. Not all designs are appropriate for FDM- just look at Thingiverse to see thousands of examples.

3d stacked is that the same as non planar?
Re: A 3d-model worth the challenge of FDM printers

From my native language, it means the same, but the vocabulary is different.

I just discovered that 3D stacking can not only achieve better surface effects, but also increase printing speed.

Rough machining and finishing method similar to cnc
