I'm trying to attach a 1.8 MB word .docx file to a post, and the forum says it is too large. What am I doing wrong?

large file is to large.

Why is 1.8 MB larger than the maximum 8MB?

You didn't mention 8MB in first post...

file does get encoded.. but that only increases size by 1/8th.

perhaps its just blocking docx, (due to all the office based malware)

The forum says 8MB maximum file size, and a maximum of 10 files per post. What it really means to say is 800 KB, discovered through trial and error. Quite a difference, and aggravatingly low.
