how to draw a wiring diagram like this

Hi, the X3 wiring diagram picture is amazing
what tool is used to draw this, can anyone please tell me, thanks.

... I'm sketching my graphs mostly with Corel Draw ... but any comfortable vektor- or bitmap-editor will do this too ...

Fritzing works really well for drawings like this. I use Kicad for actually designing a pcb.

In the past, I used to use a program called Altium Designer to produce interconnection wiring diagrams - harness, looms and cabling, as well as schematic capture and CAD/CAM for PCBs. Although Altium Designer is very expensive, you can use a very nearly complete copy called Circuitmaker for free as long as your designs are publically available (i.e., non-commercial use). Circuitmaker can be downloaded from [circuitmaker.com] and there is a Youtube video on using Circuitmaker for cabling, harness and looms at [www.youtube.com]

Circuitmaker is very powerful so takes a good bit of learning but does give a hellofalotofbang for something which is free.

Edit: I have just found this [skycad.ca] which may be what you need - although I have not looked at it closely

Wow, I didn't know Corel Draw was still active. Last time I used it was on Windows 3.1

Nowadays I use Inkscape for vector graphics.

... I'm using it since version 4 (2 maybe?) ... my actual (already outdated) version is X8 (or 18) ... schould be 21 now ...
