Yes that was copied from the wiki. So it should still work no matter what number is there?
Where is the End.gcode file located? Is it skeinforge or repsnapper?

That made my Z go down too... How do I only get X and Y to move?

If sending the command:
G28 X0 Y0
Causes your Z-axis to move then you have a serious firmware/hardware problem.
