Replcace Rotary Encoder

Hey guys!

I just got a secondhand Beast V2 from cultivate3D, which is equipped with a RepRap Full Graphic Smart Controller for controls. Unfortunately, during transport, the rotary encoder was pysically damaged and does not work anymore. Is there a suitable replacement part that I can solder in or anything else besides swapping the entire LCD board?

Thanks for any advice

The encoder with switch is a standard component on a RepRap Full Graphic Smart Controller

There are different height and types of shafts... It depend what knob they used on it.

one seller I use is [www.aliexpress.com]

I'm not sure about the pinout, is it standardized or how else can I know it fits the one built in?

Its a standard foot print.

3 pins are encoder, 2 pins are switch, + 2 tabs to a fix it securely.

It also provides full dimensions on the page!

you just have to actually go look!

So I assume all the pins do the same as the ones on the original.

I've had a look at the website, but as I was afraid of choosing a part that has an incompatible pinout (not physically, in regards to what the pins function is) I chose to stay on the save side and ask if it's compatible.
