Mks Robin v3 got shorted

Mks Robin v3 got shorted

Hello
I have a Mks robin nano v3
When it was on the wires of the pwm fan touch each other so a short take place
The board is not responding any more
is there anything to do to restore it ?

... with some luck only a fuse or the +5V regulator is wrecked - replacing it could revoke the board ...

How can I test to know if the problem is with the 5v regulator

... if it's showing some "electric life", then power it first per external PS and then per USB only - and measure, if the +5V pins gives at around 5V or much lower (then, most likely, burnt regulator) ...

Well I tested it
when its hooked to an external psu it gives 0v on the 5v rails
when connected to usb it gives 5 volts
So It means that this voltage regulator needs to be changed ?

Well, now I am looking form the part to be replaced which i believe is the part that i sent you in the attachment
MP1584EN
under its name there is like some coding as you can see in the pic E8859388 and another line
those codes differ from product to the other do they matter ?
or any thing that has MP1584EN well be good ?!

... looks like a DC-DC stepdown-converter.

So essentially any converter with enough transmit current should do too ...

I contacted Mks support and they told me that a mosfet and the chip got burnt
So now I have to replace the chip all that because of a short ?!
I had skr 1.4 turbo and a short happend many times and nothing happened
I am kinda disappointed with this mks product
