im new to this forum and to forums in general.....i tried searching this.....no results on the forum and google just links to reddit, which basically tells people to buy an ender 3.....
i want to build a new printer, a true reprap from scratch, mostly for learning purposes but to also have a second printer. i want to know more about printing and the firmware and electronics
ive been printing since 2019, i had a makerbot replicator mini (ew) then a tronxy xy2 pro and now a wanhao dulicator i3
im trying to find a design that is a balance between cheap, simple, and have a decent build volume, with an emphasis on cost.....
im stuck between building a wallace or a 3dprintmi......

id be ok with building a printrbot but im worried about z axis quality so i was more leaning towards a wallace or a 3dprintmi because it has a cross member on the z-axis. im not terribly concerned with print quality, as long as it works its ok for me. i was also thinking i could put my lcd on the top crossmember as well.
i was also looking at the cairo mini and ormerod printers but i have no experience with this printer.
