Motor of extruder stops in the middle of print - extruder not clogged

Hello guys,
does anyone know what causes stopping extruder motor in the middle of
the print ? Recently I switched from Arduino Mega - Ramps 1.4 to MKS Gen_L2.1 with
TMC 2208 steppers. Everything worked fine, did some succesful prints
but now extruder motor stops in the middle of print while all axes still moving.
Extruder is not clogged, just motor does not moving - it happen in the middle of the print.
I changed for new motor, new stepper, changed voltage 0,8-1,2 and it is the same behaving.
I use the latest version of Marlin 1.1 with bug fixes.

... could eventually be overheating of the driver?

I dont think so, It is properly cooled with two fans and actually in cold room now...

The only things left then are the cable if it's not integrated with the motor, and the electronics. If the rest of the axes are still working then it seems like it has to be a bad board. Maybe the soldering on the extruder driver socket is poor, a cold solder joint that opens as it heats up? That's all I got. Looking at the board I guess it could also be bad connections or soldering on the jumpers for the extruder driver. Or I guess bad soldering on the motor cable socket. Do a close inspection of the soldering on the back side around the extruder driver and see if there is anything obvious.
