The 3d-printing technology is amazing and improving rapidly. When will it be possible to print a complete book (pages, words, binding, etc.) at once?

I think that one's been done.

Perhaps I didn't search with the proper query, but I couldn't find any examples on the internet..

The process you are talking about, fully automated, one piece is not practical.

You are however able to print *several* books complete and at once.

Some parts of the process take long (printing the pages, drying the glue) other are fast (cutting the sheets, folding the covers) some medium (aligning the pages)
If you sacrifice efficiency it would be possible to automate the process even for a single copy though.
Using a office printer, a conveyor, rattler, press, glue gun on linear axes, 2nd printer for the cover, 2nd conveyor, folding machine, 2nd gluing appliance and a second press.

I'm assuming you mean on a single piece of equipment (as in the machine could make a book or something like a plastic toy)?

If I correctly gathered your meaning, it will likely be decades.

Technically speaking, it is possible to make a short book in braille on a cutting edge professional 3d printer, though it would not be made of paper.
