It's basically a clothes hanger. The problem is on one side there's a hook, on X plane, but on the Z-plane there is a hole in it with a thread...

I would print the hook and the tube as two separate parts. Make the hook on its own flat against the bed, then make the tube with one end on the bed. The threads could be handled by the openscad screw library: [www.thingiverse.com] The slight bend is an easy overhang for printing to handle. You could then connect the two pieces by using a snap fit pins: [www.thingiverse.com]

So you think the angled thread can be done in one go?

And later perhaps mount the hook with crazy glue?


I'm not really trying to make this object, but a similar object with a hook and a small base with thread in an angle from the hook.
Basically a part of my car to keep the passenger's mirror from falling down...
