Pronterface set position as home?

I'm using a Sanguinololu with pronterface and i was wondering how i can manually home the axis? i don't use endstops and when i try to print something i guess the Z thinks its too low so it raises up far above the bed before it starts printing... which results in a blob leaking from the air....

The frame I'm working with is a ZenToolworks 7x7 3D Printer model

shippo0708,

I am having the same problem. Did you ever find a solution?

As painful as it sounds, the only way I have been able to do this (I have not figured out how to use these stupid endstops either) is to take the print head to where I think home should be. Then disconnect/reconnect from/to pronterface. I then have to reset the bed and heater temperatures before they fall too far. I'm ready to print from there.

You might have success adding that gcode in the start sequence :

G92 X0 Y0 Z0 E0

Most of my technical comments should be correct, but is THIS one ?
Anyway, as a rule of thumb, always double check what people write.
