where is the place that i can download the new software that is not compiled that i can compile myself?

There are Linux instructions here:-

There are no Windows instructions but if you use the procedure outlined for Linux but use the equivalent Windows command where required you should be OK. I assume as you are familiar with compiling you will be able to figure out what is required.
