I m trying to generate g codes from solid model..I dont have any idea how difficult it is..can anyone help?
I have decided to follow following steps -
1.Generate ASCII STL model in solidworks (done.)
2. import it in MATLAB and plot it (done)
3.Use slicing algorithm and get contour info (in MATLAB only)
4. get G code (No idea how am i gonna do this)

Can't believe this is a graduate project, just use slic3r~~

It's quite usual for a graduation project to try and reproduce something that already exists.
That's one way to learn.

Most of my technical comments should be correct, but is THIS one ?
Anyway, as a rule of thumb, always double check what people write.

Hello my friend. I now have a project as sames as yours and wondering that have you passed some steps? If so I think you can show me the way too winking smiley
