Trying to run RepRap Host on MAC OS 10.3.9. New to Java I need some help.

Hello,

I force installed Java 1.5.0 on my Mac G4 Mini and tried running the RepRap host to take a look at it before I start building my RepRap. I know little to nothing about Java or running something from the terminal. What do I instal or click on to run this? I checked the website and directions are under construction. Thank you.

Curly

I run daily an SLS, SLA, FDM, Zcorp, and Objet. Hoping to add RepRap to that list.

The mac version does not work. There is almost no one developing on it.

I was able to get the software to run under Tiger (10.4) using the netbeans IDE. For some reason there are confilcts with the JVM (Java virtual machine) library search paths.) The code will run inside the IDE, it fails as a stand alone app.

Search the history here for my postings as I wrote down how to at least get the code working under netbeans.

Yes indeed virtually no-one on osx uses the native host software but a combination of Skeinforge to create your Gcode from 3d files and Replicator G to controll your RR.
