so i have been trying to get the software to work, but no luck.

I followed the instructions for x64 but all i get is:

/usr/local/bin/reprap: 3: ./reprap: Permission denied

any tips?

My Linux for beginners book says: to execute a file, the file must be executable, i.e. have the permissions set right:

chmod +x ./reprap
