I don't see the 'plan view'

Hope I'm posting to the right place.
I'm building my first Prusa and trying out the RepRap Host software.
I'm runing a win-XP box and have loaded the Java 5.0 runtime environment.

When I run the reprap batch file, the host starts up but I get a Java error:

"Error in the main GUI: java.lang.illegalArgumentException: adding a container to a container on a different GraphicsDevice"

I click 'OK' and the host software eventually starts.

I see the RepRap Console but I DO NOT see the 'plan view'.

What am I doing wrong.

BTW - I have two monitors. - Would that mean anything.

Thanks in advance.

YES - the RepRap Host only works right on the primary monitor.
I did the following to fix the problem.
Deactivate your dual monitor system such that you have a single monitor system that is the PRIMARY Monitor of your dual monitor system.
Start the RepRap Host and move the windows to all fit within the monitor.
Exit the RepRap Host and then reactivate your dual monitor mode.
NOW start the RepRap Host and all the windows SHOULD appear on the primary monitor.

Hey - Thanks Bob!

That was it. I needed to disable the secondary monitor and everything's okay now.

But even if I get it all working in one monitor, shut down the reprap host, re-enable the secondary monitor, the problem returns when I run RepRap.

Not a biggie. - I can get by with one monitor while running RepRap. - I'll probably use my (siingle monitor) laptop anyway in 'production' if I ever get this thing built smiling smiley

Tks. again...

Try Kliment's Pronterface, I think you will like it much better and it has no dual monitor problem.
