Configuring Sprinter

Configuring Sprinter
April 13, 2012 05:02AM
Hi. I'm trying to get my Prusa running with Sprinter firmware. When I use ReprapHost I get heaps of 'dud response' and line number errors, and occassionally something moves!
When I use Replicatorg things are better, but I still only have limited control.
Before I get too far in my debugging, can anyone suggest an obvious goof?
I have set Sprinter up for RAMPS1.4 ('motherboard=33'), it's all pretty standard Prusa1.
A lot of the errors seem extruder related (M105 and M113...) and I get no termistor readings, or heater voltage.

Looks like I have got something fundamental wrong...!

Thanks for any ideas.

Well, it works better with Printerface. Don't tell me RepRap is still "Single vendor preferred"!?

All axes OK, power not comming on to heater. Progress at least.

Cheers.

RepRap host seems to be fairly un-maintained.

ReplicatorG works fine only with firmware developed for ReplicatorG (eg: Makerbot).

Sprinter and Marlin work fine with Printerface/Pronterface, as do a number of the other firmwares.

I only used Replicatorg because RRh was failing (and I had it for my ToM). Lots of folk seem to use it in RepRap environments, but obviously not with Sprinter!

There certainly is a lot of potential combinations of host, firmware and gcode generation!

Thanks.
