Just thougth I'd share this, I got my boardruino built and while I am waiting for the rest of my reprap electronics I decided to play around a bit. I am really impressed. other than a bit of minor PIC programming I have not done much embedded (on this tiny scale) programming and within a day of getting my bag of parts I had the following working:

that is interfacing to a nintendo wii nunchuck controller (joystick, buttons and 3-axis accelerometer for $20, a very useful thing to hack) to the arduino and using the joystick to control two servo motors.
