Trying to upgrade my build with some DRV 8825 drivers and they're not micro stepping at all. Has anyone experienced this before?

Do you have the jumpers installed correctly? This article shows how to upgrade to DRV8825 drivers. My guess would be that your stepper jumpers are still set up for the A8498 Polou drivers.
