MKS SBASE v1.2 not working ethernet
August 10, 2016 03:01AM
When i try to enable in the configuration

# network settings
network.enable true

Board stops working, lit only led D7

I try all the settings under # network settings - nothing changes.
File configutation.txt normal, if i set on same SD card "network.enable false" - then all starts to work.

Tried FW from MKS and the latest firmware from Smoothy.

I don't know what to try now!

Maybe someone knows a solution to this problem?
Maybe this has already been discussed on the forum? Please give a link.

Hi,

I've got the same problem, the board stops working when I enable network. Did you found out something?
My board is MKS SBASE v1.3 and I think that there is no power supply for ethernet PHY. Pin 1 (VDD2A) of U10 is around 1.6 V. If I connect power from C43 to pin 1 and pin 19, it starts to do something: software runs and link is up (for a while). But it cannot be pinged.

For the record: the board needs external power (12..24V) and then ethernet works (pin 1, 19 needs the power supply of course)! Ping, web server and telnet are OK.
My PCB is probably erroneous: I measured the wires with Ohm-meter and there is no power on pin 1 and 19.
