Hi,

in RADDS-Shield v1.1 the reset pin are installed.
100 Units v .1.1 have been ordered and 02.2014 as to distribute.

100 RADDS v1.0 this week are stocked here as PCB and SMD components.
This I give to hobbyists for 15 euros a piece from (for itself solder).
Correct (v1.1) is
LED green 50 mcd KING BRIGHT
LED yellow 150mcd KING BRIGHT
RADDS v1.0 has no reset pin and SMT LEDs have false Candela values (luminosity too bright).
When hardware reset, the LEDs also have the error that they flicker.
If the recovery stalls that have 100 kOhm.
RADDS has v1.1:
R1, R4, R7, R10, R13, R16 resistor 33 kohm, 1% WELWYN WCR0805-33KFI

# #

RADDS v1.0 works.
RADDS v1.1 in my opinion is error-free.

# #

Should I enter an article www.max3dshop.de (RADDS v1.0-yourself soldering for 15 € + shipping) in my Mega Store :-) ?

Aniversary:

Du the next days will be arived only 100 RADDS-Shileds v1.0 (old version) with only the Platine+smd Komponents.
The components, such as resistors, connectors, MOSFET, etc. You have to get yourselves.

For DIY-hobbyists who can soldering for your own, we can send you this, if you like for 15 Euro plus shipping costs.

You can pre-reserve here, so I for the reprap-comunity put the RADDSv1.0 back and when they arrived, I send you a PM.
If you still want it then, I will ship to you

Have Fun

Hi aranciam,

on Friday will arive the next Charge (100 RADDS v1.0 + 5 RADDS v1.1)
The 5 Radds v1.1 are all preordered, sorry for that.

We Think, that the Quality and the new/optimized Feature are ok, and Then we give Order for 100 RADDS v1.1 (middle/end of February 2014).
If the Community accept the RADDS v1.1 and we see, that they would like to have it an their like it,
we can ordered 1000 number of units (then verry, verry lower Price).

In the meantime can i ask which firmware wiil work with it?
Repetier version 0.91 Rev 4 (look in Topic)

..it will come with the firmware already uploaded?
Sorry I dont understad your Question.
You have to configure Repetier-Firmware, than you Download all the Files on your PC, start your Arduino-IDE Software, connect via USB your Arduino-DUE (udoo etc..),
and upload your Firmware on your DUE. Then plug the RADDS-Shield on the DUE, connect your components
(Stepperdriver, Steppermotor-Cable, Headbed, Hotend, FAN, Endstops, opt. Reset-Pin , LCD-Click-Encoder-SD, Servo, Sound etc..)
and Test your configuration.

Can i download it now?
The Repetier-Firmware works with the RADDS-Shield.
You can Download it here:
[github.com]

Or you can Configure Repetier-Firmware with the GUI and then you can Download your personal Configuration:

I hope, that I have give the Right Answer for you.
If not, please contact me.

How much of that 49,90 euro is VAT, and do you have to charge/collect it for merchandise being shipped to the US? My feeling is that $68 US ($89 with shipping) is a little too high on this side of the ocean, when the buyer would still need to add an Arduino Due board to use it. Just trying to evaluate the potential US RADDS market size for 10+ pieces.....

As @angelo is from here in Germany I think I can answer this. Shipping to outside european union (Switzerland is outside, too) should happen without VAT (which is 19% here). You'll have to pay local taxes at your customs office, if such taxes exist.

@ vreihen

-19% VAT + 15 Euro ShippingCost. (41,95 Euro +15 Euro = 57 Euro)
5 Boards ( 5x 41,95 Euro +15 Euro =225 /5 = 45 Euro :-)).
Maybe we can arange a collective order for 5 or 10 RADDS v1.1 for the US ?

Maybe a US Reseller has interest to distibute it?
Maybe someone Know a competent reprap reseller?

I am quite interested in a 32 bit solution for 3D printing. On the website, two RADDS boards are listed, RADDS Shield v1.1 - ohneSupport and InstallationsSupport. What is the exact difference between the two. Also, two power inputs are shown for the board, 1 for the heated bed and the other for everything else. Will I need to have two power supply or will a 12V 30A supply work ?

you need only one smiling smiley
and not everything else , its for stepper and hotend and so on..

and the first(lower) price is without support(technical) the other price with support.

In case anyone reading this thread doesn't already know, there is also the Duet electronics board available from RepRapPro and think3dprint3d. This integrates an Arduino Due compatible processor, Ethernet, SD card slot, 4 stepper drivers, 3 mosfets for heated bed/hotend/fan, and 5V switching regulator on to a single board.

Meh. Great if you want to use RepRapFirmware with no Delta printer support, but a paperweight for the people who need 32-bit CPU performance the most (Delta printer owners). Someone could probably hack Repetier firmware to run on it, but it doesn't include network drivers to take advantage of the board's prime feature.....

I'd definitely like to try this. I have a ramps-fd v1 and cant find a v2. Having trouble with the bobc's marlin for due and repetier (which both supposedly support ramps-fd).

Any luck on this? I'd think it'd only be 60-70 usd

I've had an offer of a free delta printer if I add delta support to my fork of the Duet firmware, and I'll probably take this up before long.

Angelo,

Thanks for your help in getting the RADDS board. It is working extremely well on BobC's Marlin spin. This thing makes my delta fly!

I've built several custom 3DR's. The one with the RADDS board uses a 300mm Heat bed w/ DRV8825 stepper drivers.

I have tried multiple times to get repetier 0.92 running on the board with no luck. It compiles and installs perfectly. It acts like it's getting cross talk between the pins (since Marlin is working fine with the exact same wiring, cross-talk is very unlikely). As soon as I enable the steppers, everything starts moving in a stuttering fashion prior to any command. I've walked through pins.h multiple times and threw in the towel. I'm good with running Marlin.

Next step is trying to get my full graphic lcd running. I have completed the wiring and verified everything twice. The SD Card, encoder, and beeper are all working fine. My LCD lights up, but displays nothing. I've tried editing ui.h to force the correct display type and told it to use the settings from pins.h for the lcd pinout, but to no avail.

Has anyone gotten the Due to run the full graphic display (through a 3.3V -> 5V converter)? Is this something you would be willing to help me out with? I can forward some of my failed attempts.

Thanks for the great board! Once I get the LCD running, next step is some LED strips in my extrusions for bling factor.
