Hello community,

have now again RADDS v1.1 for 49,90 EUR (while stocks last).
Willy gets (the inventor and quality inspectors) 5 Euro per sold RAMPS shield.
Bolt receives (who built the firmware and tuned for 32-bit, madness're the best) 3 € per sold RAMPS shield.
Thus, I hope that through your help the acquisition of RADDS Shield continuous quality and speed optimization;-).
I hope that this is now fair for all and all have something like this and everyone benefits.

Thank you for buy it in advance.
Angelo

Hi Angelo, have you tried it on the Udoo?
Can I use the 24v with the Udoo, like you say here "RADDS mit 24 V betreiben"?

yes you can use it, but you have to sold out the Diode D1.
and then you have to sold 3 ten Diods (4 V und 1,3 Watt).
Please have an atention for the diod direction fom left to right (down, up,down).
Now the arduino Due CPU has 12 Volt. A dc-dc maybe becomes to much temperature to use it 24/7 :-).
For udoo it is better (but not nessesary) to give him seperated (for the quad-core cpu) Voltage OUTPUT: 12V, 2A.
RADDS has two Power Input.
So you can work with two power supply one for 12 Volt and the heatbed with 24 Volt (since up 36 Volt and 16 A) if you like.
The 128 microstepperdriver you can give seperated Power. There are plugged backwards to the Nema 17 ... :-)

Angelo, strange, but I find no tutorial and videos showing RADDS running.

If it exists, then you can show us!

In my private Time I configure a 3D-Printserver with udoo and RADDS.
I have to finished the SD-Card Image for my german reprap friends.

Thank you for the advice, to make more Videos with RADDS at Work smileys with beer

I will make some and Post it for you and the community ...

Thank you
Angelo

hi Angelo ,
is it possible too take the signal befoor the stepperdriver so that i can use external stepperdrivers?

Wizzard22: You need to pull the signals out of the Pololu connectors, same as with RAMPS.

That said, note that the logic will be 3.3V, not 5V. Either your drivers will need to be able to accept 3.3V logic, or you will need to convert it to 5V logic with an external board.

@ wizzard22
Yes, it is possible.
You have to Bridge the "Microstepperdriver-Socets" and plug the 4-Pin Cable irst to the external driver and then to the stepper.
I use the same principal with my 1/128 Microstepperdrivers.
I will post some of the Microstepperdrivers pics after Work :-)

Hi Angelo,
thanks for the reply.
Now I have another question.
How mutch ampere can give youre externel drivers and where can I get them?

Hi Cefiar,
thanks for your reply to, espeshaly about the reminder of the voltage diverens.

You need only the Signal from the Due/RADDS to the Driver (3,3 Volt is ok).
Each Driver has a Powerconector (12/24/36/48 Volt).
You have to customize it with the "blue" Encoders.

I've converted to a: RADDS v1.1, DRV8825, 0.9 degree NEMA 17.

I have a delta printer with Pitch 2, Teeth 20, Steps 32, Steps per rotation 400, so 320 steps per mm.

Two of the motors move at the same rate but one of them is moving slightly slower than the other ones. When I home it at the top all looks good but when I start to drive Z down, the extruder head moves to one side because one motor is slower.

Any thoughts?

Thanks
