5 Phase Motor

Hello, I'm wondering if anyone can tell me how to connect a 5 phase stepper motor to the stepper driver V2.3. Thanks.

5 Phase, or 5 wire? Because 5 wire would make it Unipolar, therefore incompatible.

Was the motor pulled out of a printer/typewriter?

5 phase would also be incompatible as the driver is for 2 phase motors only.

5 phase and 5 wires, they are also bipolar.

... if they 'are also bipolar', then you should have a special wiring/connection diagram, where you use only 4 wires - then this could work confused smiley

The motors have a 'pentagon bipolar' arrangement with 5 pairs of coils (one lead per pair) resulting in 10 coils in total. I pulled these motors out of a office machine, I could not find specific data sheets for them. My guess is that they were specifically made for those office machines but did find a similar product line by the same manufacture.

You will need a 5 phase drive to run a 5 phase stepper, which I happen to have. If you want a drive for the motor or to get rid of the motor, I can help you either way.
