Hi Zach,
I just got the second axis of my McWire repstrap running (X,Y).
In doing so I found a discrepancy between the 1.2 power comms and the 1.3.
The silk screen for Tx and Rx are reversed between the 1.2 and the 1.3 board.
By my reasoning the 1.2 silk screen is correct. That is Tx from power comm goes to Rx of the ring, and Tx of the ring goes to rx of the power comms. To get things to work on 1.3 Tx from power comms goes to Tx of of the first device in the ring.
I didn't catch this earlier because I just plugged my test cables across. When I tried to wire up the rest of the token ring things did not go as planned.
Note I think part of the confusion is that the tx label on the Kicad schematic is next to what is the "receive pin" of the token ring and vs versa for rx. This is correct from the standpoint of the RS232 driver side of the world, but backwards for the ring.
It's pretty exciting seeing both axes doing their thing.
Now I have to figure out some hack for Z to hang the extruder on.
Best,
Dan
