New Controller, different homing behavior (MKS Base 1.5)
April 25, 2017 03:02PM
I just upgraded from a RAMPS/Arduino controller to a BIQU MKS Base V1.5 board. It seems to be working great, but I noticed different behavior when homing the axes. When I was using the RAMPS board, the motors would home as expected - moving toward the endstop then stopping the moment it was triggered. With this new board, it double taps the endstop when homing. So, it moves until it triggers the endstop, then backs up by about 1mm and rehomes a second time before resting.

It's not necessarily a problem, as the motor does end in the proper place, but I don't understand what is causing it to take the extra unnecessary step while homing.

Any suggestions for a cause and/or fix?

That's the normal way of homing, at least on all Marlin versions I know off.
The second run is slower to get better precision.
