i have smoothieboard and i can say you that is not a copy software from them...

Traumflug....open or closed source,what is different,,point is that lerdge board work perfect ,Ui is frendly and aesy to configuredirect from diply ,New module coming out and firmware is continuous upgrading,, Accessorizes are plug and pay,,Filament monitor senzor,autolevel sensor,hot bed power module 25 A,Continuous print after power lose,pause print,,,,what you want more,,,Support is perfect,,,sellers on aliexpress respond any time,, have seller support on FB ,,Support on Taobao respond 24/7 in less than 2 minute

i rely hate Marlin and flashing every time when i want change settings,,but i do not shit on forum about that,


Here we share personal positive and negative experience about board ,and give recommendations where to buy ,how to fix or set board,sharing manuals and links,That is point of this forum
You miss that point in your open source campaign.

Interesting lack of knowledge. RepRap exists because it's open source. Before RepRap we had several decades of closed source, accordingly 3D-printing was pricey and without innovation. Clearly, returning to closed source also means returning to technological stillstanding.

This forum is not just for users but also for developers. So please respect the different opinions expressed.

I looked at the leadger board and thought it was quite interesting. The problem is that it can not do what I want to do. I then looked for information and the schematic alone would be enough for me to develop the functionality that I need. An open source firmware would make it even easier for me and others like me to extend what this board can do.

I fully understand that to many it is not important for a board to be open source. If it has all the features you need why bother. And you are right to just use that board anyway. As long as you are happy with that everything is fine.

Everybody please understand that different people have different requirement for what they need for their printer. And a closed source board that is not the perfect fit is a total fail. A open source board that is not the perfect fit is an invitation to make it fit. And that is what reprap is for!

Don't forget reprap only exist because it is open source / open hardware and that it exists made 3dprinter prices come down from 100k-500k and more to where they are now. Everybody should be interested to keep the environment as open as possible as this brings the prices down and gets new developments going. If we agree on that then it is also OK to use a closed source board with a closed source firmware once in a while,...

this post is not to speak about about open source but for an another product available for us reprap !it s not north korean here and we can speack about everything!!
every two post i see promo for smoothie or duet board and nobody say something about that..so i think we need respect for non open source (on top of that it s not a simple open source copy firmware)
this board working very well and there are all features and more than open source for half of the cost without brainstorming .
i don t understand people with this kind of mentality...you have bad word for everything which is not in the same mind and spirit that you have

Hello! I have a lerdge board since 4 months.
I've had many problems and also broke a board, but now it works.
I have a bltouch but the pushpin doesn't want to push out when the board wants it to. Please help me with the BLTouch D:.
Also, could you please send me the new firmware because I don't want to wait.

i test all my board with 2,0 and 1.1.7beta 6 firmware ,,it all works identical way as on your video ,,you must press directly on icon,,,icon square do not work as single button,,it respond only when touching icon,,in corner do not responding ,i use my fat finger ,not stilus pen and did not observe that before ,,i have sent message to Lerdge support regarding reverting X and Y command on display to get indentical movement on display and real movement on printer x commnd left -right,,Y forward- aft

i receive dual extruder module,,i did not test in print but have connected to board and it have normal reading of temperature ,heating and motor control.Waiting for delivery 2 in 1 extruder

It would be very nice to customize language and logo myself.
But thats the problem with cloused source. I already got some sucesses with changing the boot logo, but it looks distorted .

UI 2 is a big bug with the change of materials the head is down and bursts on the z in delta mode On the other hand with an ui 1.1.6 or 1.1.7 no problem

version 2,0 is not official released,,,it is testing version ..some bugs are reported back lerdge and fixing is in progress,,1.1.7 beta6 is last official version,,,
