Hello!
My MKS Robin board broken. STM32F103ZET6 gived smoke one day.
I want to remount this IC, but I can't use firmware from Github - it is for update by bootloader.

Can anybody make for me dump of all flash memory of STM32F103ZET6 ? I want to try program controller by JTAG.

Doesnt this chips have memory protection.,.. To protect the firmware from being copied...

Fairly sure it does. No way to know if it is till you try I guess.

No. Protection - is for sources. Binaries for load - on github. Reading from memory will give HEX (no diffrerences with binary). I think is no reason for protect reading from chip/

I think you may have a problem if the STM32F103ZET6 smoked then there maybe no way to read the STM32F103ZET6 flash memory.

However the binary file of firmware version you want is on GitHub - makerbase-mks/MKS-Robin
Under "Firmware" Under "English Firmware" Supplied with Blue style and Red Style bin files.

He wants someone else who has this board to try and read theirs... and provide him the data.

He suspects it has a custom boot loader, which is not part of the github

I wish him luck.

OK? can you tell me? what motherboard woth opensource is the last and best ? MKS Gen? MKS Gen L? MKS SBase? And what version?

All MKS boards are not Open source

The are a scummy 'thieving' company ripping off open source and not going anything back.

MKS Gen, MKS GEN L based on Marlin. Marlin is not product of MKS.
Firmware is open isn't it?

The electronic boards themselves are not open source, they are based on open source designs but they provides no documentation and no build files. Also no support.

Yes the firmware marlin is open source, and the licensing says that if marlin is provided they have to provide the source files, which they also never do.... (when their boards are in a product)


MKS Gen, MKS GEN L is based on Ramps electronic designs

If I buy MKS Gen L (based on ATMega2560 and marlin) and if controller will fail, will I can mount new controller and load firmware?

sorry was not here for ages...
Marlin now works on this boards
finally they open up due to the competitions.
