pronterface->Printrboard connection issues

Hey,

Im using a makemendel rapidbot 3d printer and i am having issues with connectin the printer to my pc.
Sometimes it just works perfectly fine, i start proterface and just connect and i can print for hours.
But other times it just doesn't connect at all:
Error message:
"Connecting...
[ERROR] Could not connect to COM6 at baudrate 115200:
Serial error: could not open port COM6: [Error 2] The system cannot find the file specified."

What i'm using:
Printrboard RevD
with marlin
pronterface (Feb2015)

What i tried:
checked the USB connections
Checked the COM port -> uninstalled the driver, reinstalled in
changed the COM port from COM3 to COM6 (yes im sure its the right one)
tried all the BAUDrates, im usually using 115200
reflashed the firmware -> marlin via arduino

can someone point me in a direction,
i don't know what more i could try,
i would really aprecciate it!
regards,
Floee

reboot windows... it likes to keep serial ports open when it shouldn't.

Also with your board the baud rate is ignored... any baud rate will do (the drivers just send the data as fast as it can)

try other usb cables, preferably shielded

Hey Dust,

Thank you,
i guess it was really up to a cheapo cable,
tried using the shielded cable of my drawing board and so far it works without problems
