MKS Gen 1.3 won't boot on power

I have a mks gen 1.3 controller that work 100% fine when connected via USB but the second I connect it to power it won't boot.
the power brick will turn off, and on the board, I'll see the blue light flash for a split second.
Is there a short on the board? is it fixable?

Everything is fixable given infinite time and resources...

But in this case since a new one is $20 usd and MKS do not provide circuit diagrams...

I would have to say no, its not worth anyone's time to fix.

... check the +5V regulator - most likely they wreck, when shorting the 5V by wrong inserted end-switches or overpowering them for longer time ...
