Do you recognise this board?

Picture links:

CPU Close Up

There are no markings anywhere on the board front or back.
It's the stock board in my MonoPrice MP10 Mini

I'm wondering if it would be easy enough to replace with something better? 32 bit? Marlin/Duet?
Any recommendations for something to replace this?

Much thanks in advance for your suggestions!

Jonty

Its their own custom board [www.monoprice.com]

Images you can actually see

The only thing you can determine from your cpu picture is that it has 16 pins a side 56 total
and its a terrible design, strapping a heat sensitive cap to a heat generator??

Dust - Thanks for the great pics -
Good point about the cap -
Any ideas about how I could upgrade to a decent board?

Thats a difficult question to answer...

First off the Touch LCD, 99% probably you cant re use that on anything else. Its unknown so no support for it...
And its uses non standard plugs for nearly everything, so expect to have to change all the plugs on all wires at the controller end.
No documentation of course so you going to have to trace out where all the wires go...

Then you need to look at the voltage of the current system, is it 12v is it 24v is it something else?

You need to identify all your major parts
Any fans? what voltage are they?
Whats the voltage and wattage of the hot end and heated bed?
What does it use to measure hot temperatures a thermocolouple or a thermistor, what are the specs?

Stepper motors are probably re usable if the main electronics are are 12v or 24v
But for everything else if you don't know their specification you need to replace them.

Much thanks for explaining what's involved.

It's a great little printer but it doesn't seem practical or viable to upgrade it.

I'd rather put the money and effort into a new printer with the exact specs that I want.

Thanks very much again!

I believe the MP10 uses STM32. Someone ported Marlin to the board. Google "monoprice mp10 stm32" and follow the links.
