hi, i have a arduino-uno g-shield v.3 GBRL with 3 dvr8825 driver max voltage 36 vdc and i like to use on a cnc router that a made from a blue print that i got from buildyourcnc , i have 4 unipolar stepper motor that i use for a cnc foam cutter and i like to use on this new router cnc but i am lost on setup the right voltage for the driver "vref" .
stepper motor info: nema 23 kp56lm2-097 1.2 amp dc-6 v 1.8deg/step , i try to set the vref at .700vdc and the motor get hot , i go up to 1vdc and at full speed move and stop , like skip steps ??? whats the best way to setup the right voltage , i am lost how ...

I'm not an expert, but if the steppers are really unipolar, I doubt they work with DRV8825 drivers.
