Cleaning Laser Cut Bed

Hi guys,

I would like to share something first and also ask you for advice.
I came across the issue of residue on my laser cut bed/ribs which since a week started to get on my nerves.
First I have used wd40 but it was hard work to get rid of the residue and few days ago
I have read that to get rid of organic/biological stains from the lens person should use distilled water.
It happened to be that today I spotted some residue spots on my lens so I have used distilled water as advised
and it worked great so I give it a go to clean my laser cut bed/ribs and it was the same effect.
Could you tell me if it's safe to use distilled water to clean laser cut bed? I guess it's a bit late to ask the question but I still would like to know your opinion.
And also I would like to ask you how do you clean your laser cut bed from residue from wood or MDF?
Do you use paper bed sheet every time when you work with different material or if you don't then what chemical do you use to get rid of the residue?

Many thanks in advance

We use undiluted white vinegar. Works amazingly well.
