Looking for a GOOD DIY 3d scanner source. Im amazed at how there are multitudes of 3D printer plans out there but nothing (recent) for 3D scanning solutions. The closest I can find is the FABscan...which im not sure if thats the way to go or not.
Any ideas?

I've been looking for the same thing with no luck. I'm interested in knowing if anyone else has found any viable options.

I can recommend you our software that is not open source but focused on 3D Drucher firmaware. and as alpha version to buy very cheap.
And the version 0.3.5 has been veröffentlischt recently.

packed with 7-Zip, and does not need to be installed.
You can start without hardware or the printer läst ausch start without module.
