Endstop interrupt stop movements in any direction

Hi

I have a K8200 3D printer which uses Marlin firmware and am modifying it for a project I'm doing.

I'm controlling the printer with the Marlin G codes using matlab and all is going great.

I've yet to find a way to stop all axis movements instantly. The M0 and M112 does not stop the movement immediately but only after previous movement is finished.

The endstop triggers work however, they only stop the movement in one direction only.

My question is, is there a way I can use an endstop trigger/interrupt to stop movements in both directions?

Thanks

I guess there isn't a way.

Anyways, an alternative solution I came up with was to only move the motors in 0.1mm increments in matlab. This way I can always check for a loadcell reading there so that when it exceeds, simply stop the movement.

... should it be an 'emergency break' with wrecking the actual print? - then you can implement a button to electrically deactivate all drivers ...
