Hi,
first of all, sorry for posting half an idea
(half means, I do not even have a conceptional drawing yet, much less a proof of concept)
Seeing the short Video (i can't find it at the moment) Viktor posted about a fast pick and place Robot,
I thought about what's needed to get it done likewise..
I've rememberd an old doorbell I used to have laying around years ago, that electrical components were (was) nothing but an electromagnet.
A fast and easy to control linear movement wich is easy to stop so it wont hurt anything.
That's exactly what it needs to have a fast pick and place.
That's what the "Lift" is made of, hollowed for a silicone tube with a vacuumpump on the other end.
Lifter controllable with PWM-board, vacuumpump controllable with the dc-motor-driver (no problems so far)
And the old doublesided Tapedeck showed up another nice feature with the rotating head.
That one is controlled by a programmwheel, but with few changes it can also be controlled by another small electromagnet and a cograil (one signal left on the PWM board, and one on the dc-motor-driver)
So we have a Lifter, and we can turn the Lifter by 90
