Building Mendel - z-leadscrew-base

Hi!

Im building mendel, and the z-leadscrew-base_2off.stl and the z-leadsrew-base-bar-clamp_2off.stl does not match.

The z-leadscrew-base-bar-clamp has two small holes, while the z-leadscrew-base does not have one.

Here is a picture:

I double checked the z-leadscrew-base_2off.stl, and it is the same on the computer what I printed off. (except my printer freezed half hour befor the end), but luckely the parts seems functional except the above problem.

I just downloaded the part from here: [reprap.svn.sourceforge.net] and it does have the holes. Picture attached [z-bracket.jpg], what happened to the show pictures inline tick box?

This is TRUE, however if you download the ZIP file (reprap-mendel-20091106.zip) which is much easier if you want the complete set of printed parts then it is without the holes!

I think Mendel is changing rapidly so probably best to print the latest files in SVN. This was fixed by Adrian on 19/11/09 "Missing holes in z-leadscrew-base_2_off.aoi added..."

Thank you guys. Indead I downloaded the .zip file, because it was easier.

However at this specific example I think the solution like at the top would be better. Because the threaded rod is already there, and we could also spare two M4 nyloc nuts and bolts.

Im thinking at modifing the z-bar-top-clamp_4off.stl part.
There is a 60mm hole-hole distance, if we modify it to be 45mm, than it would be a perfect part to the bottom.replacing the z-leadscrew-bas-bar-clamp part.

For a quick and easy fix, I will simple drill the required holes.

Thanks.

You've lost me there, the top part has two M4 screws as well as the threaded bar clamping it.

Yes, you are right, the top part has the two M4 too.

I was thinking of making a similar part. But the M4 would be still required, as this part is bended a bit for me. So better with the two additional M4.

Hmm, the file in the svn are upside-down.
Here is the rotated .stl file:
