How Many Darwin 1.0 assembled and working?

"RepStrap: McWire" (the Movie!) is getting a lot of attention of late, but I'm still wanting to build a Darwin 1.0. That picture on the home page is just too ingrained in my head (and I have most of the parts). I want to appreciate the design, be it great or imperfect.

So at RepRap foundation studio here in New York - Zach's Darwin has the motors removed, not fully assembled. I intend to try and get it working the next 10 days while I'm here. It looks mostly assembled to me, and does have a set of printed parts (rare as hens teeth as they say). I want to see a Darwin work, in person winking smiley

I asked Zach how many Darwin 1.0 he thought were assembled and in working order. I mean even if you cut the plastic parts out of wood.... but has the shape and structure of the Darwin 1.0...

Other than the University of Bath guys... Anyone?

Sorry, I'm still building my RepStrap, and I still need lots of parts for that. I would love a Darwin too, but that is still a ways off for me as I don't have any of the molded parts. I need to build the RepStrap to make my parts so I am not Strapped for cash.
