I have a question, how do you affix the cable thread for the flexible drive extruder into its two end sockets? I can't figure out a way to do it.

Well, the official way is to solder it: [reprap.org]

I couldn't get solder to stick to it, though, so I went with nophead's technique: [forums.reprap.org]

Ok, I'll try nohpead's way mainly because I hav visual evidence of his extruder working. Ultimately I would like a direct drive extruder, but I'll go with this for now.

Yes, the JBWeld outlasted the cable!

Cut a cross
Rough up the inside of the hole with a ball shaped grinder.
Let the JBWeld cure, holding the assembly straight (I used a lathe).
Bake at 200C for a while (I did half an hour I think).

If someone gives me access to the wiki I will put this up with photos.
