I think a lot of it is actually ABS plastic. Often reinforced with glass fiber or glass ball, whatever. I also believe more study parts are nowadays made with polycarbonate. Don't really know where you can find all of that out, I think you'll have to look per item on google. Also, inside the plastic parts is usually an indicator/logo printed, from which you can find back what blend it is by looking at this list:
