Here is the definition of Pultrusion:

Now even though pultrusion is meant to form constant cross-section parts, it seems like it could still be compatible with the 3d printing extrusion approach which is simply laying down an extrusion stream in a complex continuous pattern that adds up to some arbitrary part geometry.

I'd like to ask about continuity of an extrusion stream vs continuity of an embedded fiber. Even if we assume that any arbitrary part geometry can be printed out using a single continuous extrusion stream, is a single embedded continuous fiber all along that extrusion path the desired goal for maximizing the strength of the final printed part?

If not, then how does the desired fiber geometry differ from the conventional extrusion path used to achieve the geometry of the printed part?

... you have to cut the filament regularly for printing short 'sequences' ,,, and as long you don't have a methode to interconnect the layers vertically with same strength, the added stability won't be uniform -...
