[Solved] Moving to Marlin : getting wrong hot end reading
May 20, 2012 09:26AM
I'm trying to move from sprinter to marlin.

After some fiddling around with the configuration file, I now have the steppers working and the HBP going, but the
hot end reported temperature is wrong giving around 253 degrees C in the pronterface front end, with the hot end at room temperature.

I have a parcan mark 2 hot end , have set to option 5 in the firmware
#define THERMISTORHEATER 5

I have
//#define PIDTEMP
commented out , which I think enables bang bang temp control

I should add things work ok in sprinter, and it looks like the two thermistor lookup tables are the same.

edit: ok I fixed this one:
#define TEMP_SENSOR_0 in the default is set to -1 thermocouple with AD595, changed to 5 for the Parcan hot end therm.
