Opto Stop set up Ramps 1.4
July 01, 2012 11:01AM
Hi I am currently runing Marlin with pre assembled ramps 1.4 from ultimachines. I am having difficulty getting the opto stops set up. I have gone through and modified my pins.h (shown below) and have gone through various different changes with configuration.h to get the optostops working. When I send the M119 command I get back the low limit displaying when the axis opto stop light its out. When I manually move one of the axis twards the opto stop and it actuates the stop the motor continues to keep on moving past the stop. I have wiried everything correctly according to the ramps 1.4 diagram and the lights work correctly. I am at a loss so far as to how to get this working.

Thanks,

Kevin

Does it move towards the min sensor when you move it in the negative direction? If not min and max are the wrong way round, or the motor is wired wrong.

Thanks for the reply. Yes it does move towards the min on all axis (i may have the mounted in a non convention way - so i have been told - for X&Y but Z stop is at the bottom). Its almost like the software is ignoring the opto stops position.

Below are my configuration.h settings if that helps diagnose the problem. I am running a preassembled opto endstop RRS-OE.

Thanks again,

Kevin
