I have a prusa mendel with a the latest Marlin FW installed (downloaded March 1st 2013 from [
github.com]). I'm trying to get the advance algorithm to work but sadly failing.
I've set EXTRUDER_ADVANCE_K to 0.001 and got no improvement at all, 0.01 the same, although i can already notice some additional motion on the extruder motor, 0.02 has visual effects, but somewhat contrary to what i'd expected, AFTER a sharp edge, it extrudes so little plastic that it gets thin and doesn't cover the expected width. 0.05 has such high dynamic movements on the extruder motor that it misses steps. I even tried negative values since apparently i was worsening the situation extruding less plastic than required during the acceleration but got exactly the same results as with positive values for EXTRUDER_ADVANCE_K.
anyone got any ideas???
